Insulated roller shutter

Insulated Roller Shutters differ from our standard Roller Shutters in that they provide an improved U-value (0.7W/m K insulation value) to that stipulated by standard building regulations. Insulated Roller Shutters have proved a popular alternative to a traditional Sectional Overhead Door which cannot always suit all applications.

The insulated shutter curtain is constructed from interlocking twin skin galvanised steel laths, complete with polystyrene infill and running in galvanised steel guides. The guides incorporate brush seal inside and outside full height of the opening.

The shutter curtain is supported from a suitable steel tube barrel assembly at high level, running on steel bearings. The barrel assembly is supported between mild steel endplates.
A rubber seal is provided to the bottom edge of door and a nylon brush seal to the door head (please note that the brush seal will not provide a complete seal at the door head).

Insulated roller doors are Electrical operated by means of high quality three-phase motor. The motors have a built in safety brake which prevents the uncontrolled dropping of the shutter curtain. All control panels are low voltage and have open, close and emergency stop buttons as standard. Emergency manual over ride is provided as standard to allow operation of the door in case of power.

The standard roller shutter finish is galvanised with plastisol and polyester powder coating available as an option.
